LeBron James shows off his enormous new ring at World Series game
LeBron James, fresh off raising the championship banner for his Cleveland Cavaliers in Tuesday's NBA opener, showed up at Progressive Field on Wednesday to root on the Indians in Game 2 of the World Series.
James was in a box with Richard Jefferson and other members of the Cavaliers, and cameras caught a glimpse of him and his brand new championship ring out in public. It is huge. Look at this thing:
You can't say he doesn't deserve it. The Cavaliers famously rallied from 3-1 down in the NBA Finals to beat the favored Golden State Warriors. James scored 41 points each in Games 5 and 6, and then dialed it down a notch with only a 27-point, 11-rebound, 11-assist triple double in the Game 7 clincher.
The rest of the Cavs got in on the love too:
The Indians took Game 1 from the Cubs on Tuesday while James and the Cavs were routing the New York Knicks in their celebratory home opener, but Cleveland was well on its way to losing Game 2 and heading back to Wrigley Field with the series tied.
