Kobe loses bet to Louisville's Ware
Another reason to cheer Kevin Ware's comeback: It won him a bet with Kobe Bryant.
The Louisville guard, who suffered a horrific broken leg in the NCAA Tournament in March, recently revealed he had a bet with the Lakers star, who tore his Achilles in April, about who would return to playing ball first. Ware made his season debut last week, playing 10 minutes and sinking a trey on his first attempt, so Bryant will have to pay a visit to at least one Cardinals game.
It's not as bad as a million dollars, but you know the Mamba wishes he was on the court instead.
Bryant was one of the many celebrities who reached out to Ware, who said he was most surprised to hear from the Mamba.

Bryant, who has 15 years on Ware and a hell of a lot more minutes on his frame, still hasn't touched the court — thought that hasn't stopped him from collecting a big paycheck. There is still no official return date, and GM Mitch Kupchak says he doesn't expect Bryant back in the next couple of weeks. But Bryant says he's completed two of the three weeks of conditioning he needs before setting a date.
All things considered, Bryant's injury might have been more serious than many realized. Shame on you, Mark Jackson, for thinking he was faking.
One thing's for sure: When he does come back, he'll have plenty he wants to prove.
