Jamal Crawford reportedly agrees to return to Clippers

Jamal Crawford is staying with the Los Angeles Clippers, agreeing to a three-year, $42 million deal, according to multiple reports Sunday.

There were rumors that Crawford was going to leave the Clippers after the team reportedly offered him less than Austin Rivers, who agreed to a three-year, $35 million deal.

According to USA Today, the Clippers’ initial offer was a one-year, $12 million deal, something that did not sit well with the 36-year-old Crawford and some of the players on the team.

Crawford, who has spent the past four seasons with the Clippers, is one of the most dynamic bench players in the league. He’s been named Sixth Man of the Year three times during his 16-year career.

Crawford averaged 14.2 points last season with the Clippers, playing in 79 games.
