Reports: Rockets reach agreement with Ariza on 4-year contract

The Houston Rockets have reportedly reached an agreement with small forward Trevor Ariza.

According to Yahoo! Sports/FOX Sports 1 NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Ariza will sign a four-year, $32-million contract. The report states that Ariza’s contract is on a declining scale and will pay him $8.6 million, $8.2 million, $7.8 million and $7.4 million over the next four seasons.

Ariza signed a five-year, $35 million contract to join the Rockets in the summer of 2009, according to the report, then was traded to New Orleans the following summer. He had spent the past two seasons with the Washington Wizards after being traded in the summer of 2012.

Ariza and the Wizards reached the second round of the playoffs last season.
