Wednesday was Dr. Seuss’s 112th birthday, so a pair of female Houston Rockets fans decided to try to help the struggling franchise out by dressing up in revealing "The Cat in the Hat" outfits to distract the New Orleans Pelicans at the free throw line.
The women pretended to fight along the baseline, and then put on and took off trenchcoats to reveal their scanty clothing:
The distraction wasn’t effective in the above clips, but New Orleans shot only 9 of 13 (69.2 percent) on the night, which is well below their season average of 77.9 percent.
The somewhat desperate and inappropriate strategy helped the Rockets ultimately prevail, 100-95.
