NBA free-agent guard Chris Duhon was struck by a vehicle in an Orlando parking garage on Saturday night, Orlando police say.
Duhon, a nine-year vet who played for the Lakers last season, told police he was in the parking garage with his brother-in-law, Julio Hernandez, when the two got into an argument with a man driving a Lexus. Duhon and the driver exchanged words outside the vehicle and had to be separated, according to the police report, before the two walked away.
Once Duhon and Hernandez were about 20 feet away, the driver in the Lexus allegedly sped up and hit Duhon, who said he wasn’t able to remember what happened. Hernandez dove out of the way before the car could hit him.
Duhon landed on the hood, hitting his head on the windshield, according to the police report. An ambulance took him to Orlando Regional Medical Center, but he left later under his own power, according to Hernandez.
