As the announcement of Kevin Garnett’s retirement has gone viral, Denver Nuggets’ Emmanuel Mudiay and Jameer Nelson show him some love on social media.

Social media has proven to be a powerful platform to impact the public opinion, and recently in wake of Kevin Garnett’s retirement, many NBA players showed their gratefulness.

NBA fans, if you did not know, now you know. Kevin Garnett, one of the best defenders to ever play basketball, has hung up his sneakers for the last time.

His retirement, along with the retirement of Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan, has marked the end of the most influential era of basketball.

Most current NBA players can realize and understand the impact that Kevin Garnett made on the game basketball, and Emmanuel Mudiay and Jameer Nelson also realized that impact and made it social. Jameer has, of course, been in the league several years longer than sophomore Emmanuel Mudiay, but neither can deny the immense impact that KG had on the players, there refs, the coaches, and the entire game of basketball as a whole. He will truly be missed this coming NBA season.

KG may not go down as one of the greatest of All-Time, but his impact on the game as a whole will never be forgotten.

Kevin Garnett shacked the culture of basketball, and every fan should be ever grateful.
