The Denver Nuggets announced Tuesday contract extensions for general manager and executive VP of basketball operations Tim Connelly, assistant general manager Arturas Karnisovas and their staff to multi-year contract extensions.

Connelly took his post in 2013 after spending the previous three season with New Orleans as its assistant general manager. He’s had some growing pains, including the hiring of Brian Shaw, who was quickly dispatched in favor of Michael Malone, who has the Nuggets at 16-25, a slight improvement over where the team was last year.

Connelly has overseen a flurry of roster moves, some good, some bad and he’s used the draft to bring in young talent to develop including promising rookie point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris, Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic.
