Report: Bulls expected to make run at Carmelo Anthony

The New York Knicks' soon-to-be free-agent forward Carmelo Anthony definitely will attract a lot of suitors, and the New York Daily News is reporting that the Chicago Bulls are one of them.
Anthony becomes a free agent on July 1, and the Bulls, who were eliminated from the playoffs Wednesday with a loss to the Washington Wizards, are expected to make him an offer.
"It will obviously be an active summer for us," Bulls GM Gar Forman said.
It certainly will be if they do go for Anthony. In order to have the cap room for him, the Bulls likely would have to make a trade, which probably would involve power forward Carlos Boozer. The Bulls will be looking to make moves to strengthen the team for the return of Derrick Rose.
Still, the Bulls are going to have to do a lot better than the Knicks if they want Anthony to consider Chicago.
Anthony was seen dining with Knicks president Phil Jackson in New York on Tuesday, and the team, which owes the Denver Nuggets its 2014 lottery pick as a result of the Anthony trade, probably isn't going to want to let him go so easily.
