DALLAS (AP) Two people with knowledge of the deals say the Dallas Mavericks have agreements to bring back point guard Deron Williams and forward Dwight Powell, who is a restricted free agent.
Williams is returning on a one-year, $10 million contract, according to the people, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Sunday night because deals can't be signed before July 7. That's twice what Williams made last season when he signed with his hometown team after taking a buyout from Brooklyn.
The Mavericks could match any deal for Powell, who the people said has agreed to a four-year, $37 million contract. Powell came to the Mavericks in the Rajon Rondo trade with Boston in December 2014.
