AP Source: Wizards get Markieff Morris from Suns at deadline

WASHINGTON (AP) A person familiar with the deal says forward Markieff Morris has been traded by the free-falling Phoenix Suns to the Washington Wizards, a team hoping to boost its chances of making the playoffs.

The person says Phoenix receives a first-round draft pick and forwards Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair. The person spoke to The Associated Press Thursday on condition of anonymity because Thursday's trade has not been announced.

The move ends a tumultuous tenure in Phoenix for Morris, who was suspended for two games in December after throwing a towel at since-fired coach Jeff Hornacek during a game and then got into a scuffle with a teammate during a game a week ago.
