Wizards place Stackhouse on injured list

Stackhouse underwent successful surgery on his right knee October 21. Doctors removed
capsule material. There was no meniscus or ligament damage.
Stackhouse had an MRI October 14th and was diagnosed with chondromalacia, a wearing of the lining on the back of the knee cap. Doctors determined that arthroscopic
surgery would be performed to address the cause of the discomfort.
In 70 games for Washington last season, Stackhouse averaged 21.5 points and 4.5 assists per contests.
Butler, who is suffering with tendinitis in his right knee, last played in 2001-02 for Portland. He has averaged 5.4 points a game in seven seasons.
