The 20-year-old from Camden, New Jersey averaged 13.4 points and 2.8 assists per game during his rookie season.
Diop, the eighth overall pick in the 2001 draft, averaged 2.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in 16 games this season. He underwent successful surgery on a torn lateral meniscus his right knee on December 8.
Both are expected to be available for Tuesday night's game against the new- look New York
