Ailing Bulls still top Nets in Game 7
Luol Deng was out with spinal tap complications. Kirk Hinrich sat out with a calf injury. Derrick Rose sat out because he's still doing that sort of thing. Joakim Noah played with plantar fasciitis. And still the Chicago Bulls won their do-or-die Game 7 ... on the road.
Ladies and gentlemen, your Brooklyn Nets. Still a lot like their New Jersey ancestors.
The Bulls led by 17 at halftime Saturday in a truly uninspired half of basketball from the home team. The Nets got as close as four in the third quarter and five in the fourth, but it wasn't enough. Chicago won 99-93.
Despite the creaky feet, Noah — who last month gave us the classic quote, " Plantar fasciitis sucks" — had a monster game with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Or as our columnist Greg Couch puts it:

And congratulations, Chicago. Here's your reward: a second-round date with the steamrolling Miami Heat.
