The Post-Dispatch's Jim Thomas reports that Orlando Pace hopes to return to the Rams "in a week or so." Apparently Pace has decided to sign the Rams' $5.73 million tender offer rather than continue his holdout for a multi-year deal.
|Staley to return on Sunday
Duce Staley is ready to end his holdout. The Times' Mark Eckel reports that Staley is expected to report to the Eagles on Sunday.
Jimmy Smith's suspension could affect Mark Brunell's future in Jacksonville. The Times-Union's Vito Stellino reports that the Jaguars could decide to cut Brunell and let Byron Leftwich and David Garrard handle the QB duties.
The Herald's Jason Cole reports that the Dolphins are interested in reacquiring Lorenzo Bromell. Bromell has fallen out of favor in Minnesota and could be traded or released.
Lional Dalton wants out of Denver. The News' Lynn DeBruin reports that Dalton is hoping that the Broncos will release him if they fail to work out a trade in the near future.
