Chris Brown hits Harlem hoops hotbed
Controversial R&B star Chris Brown can often be found sitting courtside at NBA games, but he’s also been known to take the court, judicial and basketball, from time to time.
According to the New York Post, Brown did just that Tuesday night in New York City, surprising a group of basketball players at PS 192 in Harlem when he showed up to play a little pick-up ball at the courts on the corner of 136th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
Brown spent "a couple of hours playing with the neighborhood kids," according to the paper, before eventually leaving. Many of Brown’s fans took to Twitter — where the singer has more than 12 million followers — to post pictures confirming that Brown was, indeed, on the court.
While Brown’s spontaneous pick-up game was going on, his on-again and recently off-again girlfriend Rihanna was performing in Brooklyn at Barclays Center — a concert that had been rescheduled from Saturday to Tuesday because of Game 7 of the Nets-Bulls series.
