Iverson alleges wife gutted home
Former Philadelphia 76ers star Allen Iverson is seeking jail time for his estranged wife, who he claims ransacked his Georgia home while he was playing basketball in Asia earlier this month.
According to entertainment news website TMZ, which cited legal documents, Iverson returned to find his house completely gutted. He alleges Tawanna Iverson stole furniture, art, memorabilia and a large sum of money.
Allen Iverson said he asked her a number of times to return the items but she refused, so he filed a motion for contempt in a Georgia court.
The 2001 MVP reportedly has asked the judge to place Tawanna Iverson in jail until she returns the goods, and is also seeking an order to ban her from his home.
Last month, Tawanna Iverson requested a restraining order against her ex, claiming he had harassed and threatened her.
She filed for divorce last year and the pair have been feuding ever since, according to TMZ.
The pair married in 2001 and have five children together.
