News: Gibson (ankle) won't see his role change and will play significant minutes again next season, ESPN Chicago reports. Impact: Although coach Tom Thibodeau also said he won't rule out Gibson starting, it would seem unlikely that he would surpass Pau Gasol, as Gibson is used to coming off the bench and Gasol is not. Gibson, Gasol, Joakim Noah, and Nikola Mirotic will all share playing time in the frontcourt, and although that would seem to indicate Gibson will see less playing time than he did last year, he's a favorite of Thibodeau's and will still see plenty of minutes.(RotoWire, )

News: Gibson (ankle) will likely come off the bench again next season after Pau Gasol announced that he will sign with the Bulls. Impact: Gibson was moving his way up the pecking order in the Bulls' front court and by the end of last season he was playing in the fourth quarter instead of Carlos Boozer. The Bulls were expected to part ways with Boozer this summer and move Gibson into the starting lineup. While the Bulls will still be cutting ties with Boozer, the addition of Gasol will keep Gibson as a member of the bench. Gibson averaged 13.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks a game last season, but he might see his production dip a little next year as Gasol is likely to see more playing time than Boozer did.(RotoWire, )
