News: Kelly (hamstring) will not play against the Jazz on Sunday. Impact: Kelly has been dealing with a sore right hamstring for the past two weeks but is apparently close to a return. Looking ahead, the second-year player may ultimately have trouble reaching the 22.2 minutes per game that he averaged last season when considering that Carlos Boozer, Julius Randle, and Ed Davis are all viable options at power forward.(RotoWire, )

News: Kelly (hamstring), who has yet to play this preseason, looks likely to make his debut Sunday when the Lakers host the Jazz, InsideSoCal.com reports. Impact: Before he plays, Kelly will have to get through a five-on-five scrimmage Saturday, but barring a setback, the second year man will get his first taste of competitive basketball this season. If he does play, he'll play at power forward, competing with Carlos Boozer and Julius Randle for minutes. Kelly is the best floor-spacer of that trio and for a Laker team sorely lacking in shooting, his return will be a welcome one. For fantasy purposes, however, he'll be an afterthought in most leagues as he'll be buried behind Boozer and Randle barring an injury to either of those two.(RotoWire, )

Impact: Kelly has not been able to practice in full during training camp, but he's getting closer since returning to the practice floor late last week. While he's without a timetable, the reserve forward figures to be ready when the regular season opens.(RotoWire, )

News: Kelly (hamstring) is expected back in practice Thursday after missing all of training camp so far, InsideSoCal.com reports. Impact: While it's good news that Kelly's hamstring injury seems fully healed, the opportunity for minutes in a crowded Lakers' frontcourt seem limited. Kelly will need to battle veterans Carlos Boozer and Ed Davis as well as lottery pick Julius Randle for minutes and is buried on the depth chart at this stage. He can be ignored in all but the deepest fantasy leagues.(RotoWire, )
