News: Anderson (back) is recovering smoothly from a herniated disc and expects to be ready for training camp, NBA.com reports. Impact: Anderson hasn't played since an on-court collision with Boston's Gerald Wallace ended his season in early January. He received clearance to return to the court last week but will be held out of full contact drills for a few more weeks. "I can do everything with the guys as far as shooting workouts, drills, weights and conditioning," Anderson said. "I just can't play five-on-five or (even) one-on-one basketball. My disc is fused, which is good, but if I take the risk of getting hit too soon, it just wouldn't be a good thing. I have a few more weeks, so training camp I'll be ready to go all out." Anderson played in only 22 games last season, averaging 19.8 points while hitting at a 40.9 percent clip from three-point range - both career-highs. Assuming he's back at full strength in 2014-15, Anderson should play a vital role for a Pelicans team that could contend for a playoff spot if they stay healthy.(RotoWire, )
