News: Gay will not play in Saturday's preseason game against Maccabi Haifa due to a left ankle injury, the Sacramento Bee's Jason Jones reports. Impact: This is the first we're hearing of this injury, so there is a good chance this is just precautionary rest for the veteran with the start of the regular season approaching. News: Gay scored 21 points (9-18 FG, 1-6 3P, 2-2 FT) with seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in 32 minutes during Wednesday's preseason OT loss to the Nets. Impact: The solid field goal shooting is especially encouraging, as the 48% Gay posted after coming to the Kings from Toronto last December would have been a career best if he'd done it over a full season. Gay will always provide plenty of counting stats, but his fantasy value this year could get a big bump if he's finally become a more efficient scorer as well.(RotoWire, )
