News: Jackson has been working on his pull-up jump shot this offseason, the Oklahoman reports. Impact: Jackson was moved into the starting lineup for the Thunder's final four playoff games last season, but coach Scott Brooks has not told Jackson whether or not he'll be starting at shooting guard to open the 2014-15 season. Thabo Sefolosha started at shooting guard for the entire regular season in 2013-14, but he signed with the Hawks this offseason, leaving a cloud of uncertainty about who the Thunder will start at shooting guard this season. Anthony Morrow was signed in the offseason, and Jeremy Lamb has shown flashes of potential in the past that could lead to him taking the role. Jackson is more naturally a point guard, so it's possible that the Thunder will keep him in a bench role so that he can eat up the backup point guard minutes behind Russell Westbrook. Jackson played in 80 games last season. He started 36 games while Westbrook was sidelined with knee injuries, averaging 14.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.1 three-pointers in 31 minutes per game. If he were to start at shooting guard, Jackson's minutes and scoring might rise, but he'd also likely see a reduction in assists, because he'd be playing more time with Westbrook and Kevin Durant on the court.(RotoWire, )
