News: Casspi made it through waivers Friday and is finalizing a one-year contract with the Kings for the veteran minimum, Marc Stein of ESPN reports. Impact: Casspi was released by the Pelicans on Wednesday but wasted no time in finding a new squad. While the deal is still unofficial, he'll likely find himself behind Rudy Gay and fighting for playing time with the likes of Derrick Williams, Travis Outlaw and Ben McLemore. This array of competition would make it seem like Casspi will struggle to find significant time on the court in 2014-15.(RotoWire, )

News: Casspi was released by the Pelicans on Wednesday, Marc Stein of ESPN reports. Impact: Casspi came to New Orleans as part of the Omer Asik deal, and, as expected, will be released. If he clears waivers, he should have no problem finding a new team after performing consistently off the bench for the Rockets last season. In 71 games, Casspi averaged 6.9 points and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 34.7 percent from three.(RotoWire, )
