News: The Minnesota Timberwolves and free-agent guard Mo Williams have agreed to a one-year deal worth $3.75 million. Impact: Williams' agency, Priority Sports, announced the agreement on Monday. Williams is coming off an up-and-down season with the Portland Trail Blazers, but the Timberwolves see the veteran combo guard as an ideal pairing with rookie Zach LaVine on the team's second unit. Williams averaged 9.7 points last season for his lowest total since his rookie year in 2003-04. He turns 32 in December.(STATS, 4:18pm)

News: Williams agreed to a one-year deal with the Timberwolves worth $3.75 million, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports. Impact: The 31-year-old opted out of his deal with the Blazers in order to seek a longer contract, but the market for his services was not overly strong. Despite averaging 9.7 points and 4.3 assists last season, Williams is no longer the player he once was. He shot just 41.7 percent from the field last season and has been limited by injuries in recent years. Still, he should step into a consistent role as the Wolves' backup point guard behind Ricky Rubio. Williams saw 24.8 minutes per game last season - the lowest since his rookie year - and should play similar minutes in 2014-15.(RotoWire, )
