News: A person with knowledge of the deal tells The Associated Press that Ed Davis has agreed to terms on a two-year, $2 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. Impact: Davis has played for Toronto and Memphis in his four-year NBA career. He was the 13th overall pick in 2010 and showed flashes of real potential early on with the Raptors. But after being traded to the Grizzlies as part of the deal that sent Rudy Gay to Toronto, Davis struggled to get consistent minutes on a team with a loaded frontcourt. (STATS, 11:14pm)

News: Davis signed a two-year, $2 million deal with the Lakers on Wednesday, Yahoo! Sports reports. Impact: The contract includes a player option for the second season, so even if he doesn't pick up significant playing time, Davis will likely be a Laker through the 2015-16 campaign. Expect the 6-10, 227 forward to fill much the same role that he played in Memphis the past season and a half, during which he averaged 5.5 points (on 52.9 percent shooting), 4.2 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks in 15.2 minutes.(RotoWire, )
