News: Rose exited Tuesday's game at Denver due to left hamstring tightness. Impact: Rose could be on the shelf for some time again so stay tuned. News: Rose (hamstring) was held out of the second half of Tuesday's game as a precaution, ESPN Chicago's Nick Friedell reports. Impact: He did not play in the second half due to a tight hamstring, and it is not believed that he re-injured anything. Coach Tom Thibodeau said after the game that Rose will be re-examined prior to Friday's game in Boston, but he did not think another MRI would be necessary. While a couple days off may be all Rose needs to get back on the court Friday, the fact remains that Rose has not started and finished two consecutive games this season, so expectations regarding his ability to stay on the court should be exceedingly low.(RotoWire, )

News: Rose is dealing with left hamstring tightness and will not return to Tuesday's game, ESPN Chicago's Nick Friedell reports. Impact: He did not join the Bulls out for the second half, and reportedly looked disinterested and passive in the first half, so he may have been playing through the tightness and decided to sit out at halftime. This is just another minor setback for Rose, and at this point, owners should not be remotely surprised when he doesn't play, or comes out midway through a game. Consider him day-to-day, with Kirk Hinrich and Aaron Brooks stepping up if needed.(RotoWire, )

News: Rose will play Tuesday, ESPN Chicago's Nick Friedell reports. Impact: He was considered probable, and his status was confirmed. The Bulls also have Kirk Hinrich (ribs) back, so Rose may be asked to carry a little less of the load against the Nuggets.(RotoWire, )

News: Rose is considered probable to play Tuesday against the Nuggets, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports. Impact: Rose made his return after missing four games Monday, scoring 18 points to go with five assists in a win over the Jazz. He's on track to take the court for what would be his first back-to-back set of the season, but his minutes could be monitored, as he played just 25 on Monday.(RotoWire, )
Mon. Nov 24, 2014
News: Rose (hamstring) scored 18 points (5-10 FG, 3-5 3P, 5-8 FT) with five assists, three rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes during Monday's win over the Jazz. Impact: His minutes were held down a bit in a close game, but otherwise it was a successful return to action for Rose after missing four games with a hamstring injury. The Bulls play again on Tuesday in Denver, but unless he has a setback expect him to be in the starting lineup.(RotoWire, )

News: Rose (hamstring) will start Monday in Utah, ESPN Chicago reports. Impact: After a four-game absence due to a mild hamstring strain, Rose is making his ballyhooed return to action. With Kirk Hinrich (ribs) out of commission, Rose could receive a slight increase in his 28 minutes per game from the current campaign. When he leaves the court, Aaron Brooks will cover point guard duties.(RotoWire, )

News: Rose (hamstring) may take the court Monday in Utah, ESPN Chicago reports. Impact: Coach Tom Thibodeau expressed confidence in Rose's ability to play prior to pregame warmups, from which the point guard must emerge unscathed. With Kirk Hinrich out due to bruised ribs, Rose would take on the bulk of ball-handling duties and thus be afforded significant minutes. However, a decision on Rose may not emerge until close to the 9 PM ET tip, so keep Aaron Brooks in reserve in case Rose doesn't get the nod.(RotoWire, )
Mon. Nov 24, 2014
News: Rose (hamstring) says he wants to play in Monday's game against the Jazz, the Deseret News' Mike Sorensen reports. "I'm very close, if not today, tomorrow," Rose said before Monday's shootaround. Impact: He is still questionable for Monday's game, but it sounds like owners should have him back by Tuesday. However, trusting Rose to remain on the court for several consecutive games is still a risky proposition. Look for Aaron Brooks to be a key contributor if Rose does not play Monday.(RotoWire, )

News: Rose (hamstring) is questionable to play Monday against the Jazz, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports. Impact: Rose has not played in four straight games since tweaking his hamstring against the Raptors on Nov. 13. With Kirk Hinrich (ribs) unlikely to play Monday, Aaron Brooks will make another start if Rose is unable to go.(RotoWire, )

News: Rose (hamstring) will not play in Friday's game against the Trail Blazers, the Chicago Tribune reports. Impact: Rose will sit out his fourth straight game after tweaking the hamstring a week ago. With Kirk Hinrich (chest) also out for Friday's game, Aaron Brooks figures to get the start and bulk of the minutes against the Trail Blazers. Consider Rose questionable for Monday's game against the Utah Jazz.(RotoWire, )

News: Rose (hamstring) will not play Thursday against the Kings, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports. Impact: Rose will sit out his third straight game after tweaking his hamstring against the Raptors a week ago. Pau Gasol (calf) is also out, so much of the offensive onus will fall on the shoulders of Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson. Consider Rose questionable for Friday's game in Portland.(RotoWire, )

Impact: Coach Tom Thibodeau said Rose is doing a little better, and his participation increased in practice, but he will remain out. Look for Kirk Hinrich and Aaron Brooks to each benefit from Rose's absence.(RotoWire, )

News: Rose returned Monday and scored 18 points and handed out five assists. Impact: Rose strained his left hamstring in the Bulls' 100-93 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Nov. 13 when he slipped and fell on a drive late in the fourth quarter.(STATS, 3:14pm)
Sat. Nov 15, 2014
News: Rose (hamstring) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Pacers, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports. Impact: He has a mild hamstring strain, and while coach Tom Thibodeau said Rose is feeling better Saturday, he will sit out for the third time in the last five games. Kirk Hinrich will start Saturday, but Aaron Brooks should see plenty of run off the bench, and offers a bit more upside for those in daily leagues. Rose should be considered day-to-day.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Nov 14, 2014
News: Rose's hamstring injury is reportedly a mild strain, and an MRI wasn't necessary, ESPN Chicago reports. Impact: Rose tweaked the hamstring in Thursday's matchup against the Raptors and was taken out of the game in the fourth quarter. He did some light treadmill work Friday, but should be considered day-to-day, and will be questionable for Saturday's game against the Pacers. The severity of the injury is great news for the Bulls, but considering Rose's injury history, he could be held out of a few games as a precaution.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Nov 14, 2014
News: Rose (hamstring) believes his injury to be "minor" but he will be evaluated Friday to determine the exact severity, Nick Friedell of ESPN reports. Impact: Coach Tom Thibodeau said Rose would likely have an MRI performed Friday, although Rose seemed optimistic that it wasn't necessary. Either way, Rose remains in question for Saturday's game against the Pacers until he gets an official injury diagnoses from the Bulls.(RotoWire, )
Thu. Nov 13, 2014
News: Rose scored 20 points before leaving with a sore left hamstring in Thursday's 100-93 victory over Toronto. Impact: Rose, who said he'll treat the injury with ice and muscle stimulation, also said it was too early to say whether he'd be ready for Saturday's home game against Indiana. "He'll be evaluated when we get back (to Chicago)," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "They'll make sure everything is good. He says he just tweaked it and everything is fine." (STATS, 11:18pm)
Thu. Nov 13, 2014
News: Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau says it's unfair to criticize guard Derrick Rose's plan to manage his injury-ravaged body, promising that the former MVP "is going to be special again" as he returns from two serious knee surgeries. Thibodeau says Thursday he thinks "everyone has to take a step back and be patient and let him go through this process." Impact: Rose, the 2011 NBA MVP, said Tuesday that his decision to sit out several games already this season is partially based on ensuring he has a healthy life ahead, explaining that he doesn't want to be sore when attending post-retirement meetings, or his young son's college graduation. Those comments led some to say that Rose's focus ought to be on doing whatever is necessary to help the Bulls compete for an NBA title this season, rather than his long term future. (STATS, 8:57pm)
