News: Favors will likely start at center this upcoming season under the direction of new coach Quin Snyder, the Salt Lake Tribune reports. Impact: Snyder seems to be shaking things up in Utah a bit, and this decision comes as a result of his offensive strategy to surround the post with shooters. The acquisition of the sharpshooting Steve Novak this offseason falls in line with this new philosophy. Favors has played both power forward and center throughout his career, so this isn't a drastic change for a player who had his best statistical season in 2013-14. Enes Kanter will play power forward, though he too can play either frontcourt slot, so position labels might not matter in the end.
