News: Felix will have a chance to be a contributor in coach Quin Snyder's lineup this season because of his ability to defend and shoot the corner three, the Salt Lake Tribune reports. Impact: Felix certainly brings some things to the table that sets him apart, like being a good defender, but the odds of him racking up significant time on the court this season are still low. He's currently behind four guys on the depth chart and only played in seven games during his rookie season last year. Because of this, the flattery that he's receiving from the Jazz staff likely won't translate on the court in 2014-15.(RotoWire, )

News: A person familiar with the trade says the Cavaliers have sent guard Carrick Felix to Utah for three players with non-guaranteed contracts, a deal to give them more assets to go after Kevin Love. Impact: The Cavs sent Felix, a second-round pick in 2015 and $1 million to the Jazz for guard John Lucas and forwards Malcolm Thomas and Erik Murphy, said the person who spoke Tuesday to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the teams are not commenting on the deals.(STATS, 7:08pm)

News: Felix was traded to Utah for John Lucas, Malcolm Thomas, and Erik Murphy, Yahoo! reports. The Cavs also sent a future second-round pick in addition to cash. Impact: Cleveland is trying to get its books in order to make an offer for Kevin Love. Felix, who spent the majority of his rookie season on the injured list with a broken kneecap, has a guaranteed contract, while the three new Cavalier players do not. The swingman could develop into a defensive replacement off the bench for Utah, but his fantasy upside is limited to very deep leagues.(RotoWire, )
