News: Anthony will return to the Knicks on a five-year, $120 million-plus contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports. Impact: After a lengthy decision-making process, Anthony will return to the team that can offer him the longest and most lucrative contract. Anthony considered the Bulls, Lakers and Rockets - he was also linked to the Mavericks and the Heat - before ultimately deciding to stay in New York. With some horrific contracts still on the books for the Knicks, they have been limited in free agency, and Anthony will be forced to carry much of the offensive burden once again next season. But next summer, when the contracts of Amare Stoudemire and Andrea Bargnani are off the books, the Knicks figure to be major players in free agency seeking to upgrade Anthony's supporting cast. In 77 games last season, Anthony averaged 27.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.(RotoWire, )
