News: Lin will likely assume the starting point guard with Steve Nash ruled out for the season, The L.A. Times reports. Impact: While Lin was expected to play more minutes and be the more fantasy relevant player this season, the news of Nash being done for the year still has an impact in his fantasy value. Previously, coach Byron Scott had annointed Nash the starter, meaning Lin would play off the bench and start on the games Nash rested. Now, with more consistency and only rookie Jordan Clarkson and veteran Ronnie Price behind him, Lin is poised to have his fantasy value rise significantly. He'll likely go higher than where his current ADP sits, so jumping on him n the mid rounds is a solid strategy.(RotoWire, )

News: Lin came off the bench in his return from two sprained ankles, scoring 15 points (3-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 8-10 FT) with four rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 24 minutes Tuesday. Impact: Now healthy, it should only be a matter of time before Lin usurps the starting role from Ronnie Price, who has been the placeholder starter of late. With Steve Nash's troublesome back likely to be a constant concern, Lin's fantasy value looks like it will fairly consistent.(RotoWire, )

News: Lin (ankle) posted on his Twitter account that he will be taking the court for Tuesday's preseason game. Impact: His ankles are feeling better, and he posted a picture of him getting taped up prior to Tuesday's contest. Given the lack of another reliable point guard on the team (Steve Nash doesn't qualify due to health concerns), it will be difficult for Lin not to compile relatively solid counting stats this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Lin (ankle) is unlikely to play Sunday, Lakers reporter Mike Trudell reports. Impact: He took shots Saturday while the rest of the team scrimmaged, but the sprained ankle will probably keep him out of action this weekend. However, given the fact that Steve Nash (back) is already ailing, Lin should be a strong play to start the season, assuming he's healthy by then.(RotoWire, )

News: Lin sprained his right ankle in individual drills Thursday morning, adding to the sprained left ankle that has kept him out of the previous two preseason games, but still hopes to play Sunday against Utah, InsideSoCal.com reports. Impact: With the Lakers' point guard depth stretched to the point that Ronnie Price started Thursday's game, it's imperative Lin gets himself right before the regular season kicks off. Lin said he'd like to take part in the full-court scrimmage Saturday before playing Sunday, but his health is the most important concern, as he'll likely be installed as the team's starter due to Steve Nash's persistent back and nerve issues. Target Lin in the middle rounds of drafts.(RotoWire, )

News: Lin (ankle) did not practice Wednesday and will not play in Thursday's preseason game versus the Jazz. Impact: Lin sprained his ankle over the weekend and is easing his way back to full activity. While he's already ruled out playing Thursday, Lin is hopeful of suiting up Saturday, provided his ankle condition continues to improve. Furthermore, teammate Steve Nash (back) suffering another setback Wednesday should pave the way for a healthy Lin to start at point guard for the Lakers this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Lin (ankle) is in line to become the Lakers' starting point guard, after Steve Nash's nerve irritation flared up recently, InsideSoCal.com reports. Impact: Coach Byron Scott floated the possibility that Nash will come off the bench when and if he is healthy, saying "I have no doubt in my mind if I went to Steve tomorrow and said ‘I'm going to start Jeremy and the games you're available we're going to bring you off the bench,' he's such a professional that I don't think it will be a problem whatsoever. He just wants to help the team win as much as he can. That's not a concern of mine. But we haven't talked about it." If Scott makes the change, Lin's fantasy value will rise and he becomes a very intriguing mid-late round prospect.(RotoWire, )

News: Lin (ankle) did not practice Tuesday. Impact: On Monday, coach Byron Scott said Lin, who sprained his ankle over the weekend, has a 50-50 shot of playing in Thursday's exhibition game. The point guard will likely need to practice in full Wednesday if he's going to suit up against the Jazz.(RotoWire, )

News: Lin (ankle) missed Monday's practice but could play Thursday, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports. Impact: Coach Byron Scott gave Lin a 50-50 chance of playing Thursday, as the guard is still dealing with a sprained ankle that held him out of action Sunday night. Whether Lin is able to practice Tuesday or Wednesday will likely determine his status for Thursday.(RotoWire, )

News: Lin (ankle) will not play in Sunday's exhibition game. Impact: Lin sustained a sprained ankle during Saturday's practice and was seen walking around very gingerly prior to Sunday's contest. He'll be held out, but coach Byron Scott said Lin feels much better Sunday than he did Saturday, which is certainly a positive indication. Consider Lin day-to-day and questionable to play Thursday against Utah.(RotoWire, )

News: Lin sprained his left ankle at the end of Saturday's practice. Impact: The 26-year-old will be re-evaluated Sunday morning, but it seems likely the team will take precaution and hold him out of its exhibition matchup against Golden State. Lin has gone 4-for-10 from the field, with seven rebounds and 14 assists in 49 minutes so far in the preseason. He figures to open the regular season as the top option behind Steve Nash.(RotoWire, )
