News: Bledsoe finished with 13 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-5 FT), two assists, and two rebounds in 19 minutes Monday. Impact: After the Suns signed Isaiah Thomas to a four-year deal this offseason, it appeared that Bledsoe's status with the Suns was on the outs. However, with Bledsoe having signed a five-year deal to remain with the Suns, he is now the player they have the biggest investment in for their future, making his status this season more secure than what may have been expected prior to Bledsoe re-signing with the Suns. Coach Jeff Hornacek has said he's going to change up the starting lineup and rotation a lot this preseason, so owners of Bledsoe shouldn't look into his minutes too much. At this point, a reduction in minutes from last season is expected due to the presence of Thomas on the roster, but Bledsoe is first in the pecking order for minutes and should be locked in as the starter at the beginning of the season.(RotoWire, )

News: Bledsoe had a slow start Thursday against Brazilian Champions Flamengo, but settled down and led his team to a victory. He was able to drive to the hoop with ease, while using his athleticism to make defensive plays as well. Bledsoe finished the game with 15 points (7-10 FG, 1-2 FT, 0-2 3Pt), two assists, four rebounds, and one steal in 22 minutes of play, azcentral reports. Impact: Not wasting any time, Bledsoe made it clear to the Suns' front office why he was worth every penny of the extension he signed over the summer. Bledsoe and the rest of the starters found themselves in a hole early, mainly due to thoughtless mistakes. The 5th-year guard then led his team on a run, scoring 11 of his 15 points in the second quarter. Bledsoe displayed the same explosiveness he had before his injury last year, to go along with a solid shooting performance, despite not making anything from beyond the arc. Bledsoe appears to be ready for this upcoming season, but those looking to draft the guard should monitor his knee throughout the preseason.(RotoWire, )
