News: Bledsoe has agreed to a five-year, $70 million contract with the Suns, Yahoo! Sports reports. Impact: Bledsoe was previously in a stalemate with Phoenix all summer, after turning down a four-year, $48 million offer sheet from the Suns in July. However, with the deadline for Bledsoe to sign a qualifying offer with the Suns quickly approaching, both parties renewed negotiations over the weekend and have now come to agreement on a lucrative contract to keep the 24-year-old in Phoenix long-term. With Bledsoe's future sorted out, the dynamic playmaker will return to partner fellow guard Goran Dragic in the Suns' starting backcourt this season. Upon being traded away from the Clippers and point guard Chris Paul's shadow last season, Bledsoe went on to flourish under new Suns' coach Jeff Hornacek, averaging 17.7 points, 5.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 32.9 minutes across a 43-game season shortened by knee surgery.(RotoWire, )

News: Bledsoe has renewed contract talks with the Suns over recent days, The Arizona Republic reports. Impact: Bledsoe has been a restricted free agent since July 1, but with the Suns unwilling to meet his request for a max-level contract, the two parties have been in a lengthy stalemate, especially since no other team has extended Bledsoe an improved deal from the four-year, $48 million offer sheet he rejected from the Suns back in July. As a result, the 24-year-old Bledsoe now appears poised to remain with the Suns and ink a one-year, $3.7 million qualifying offer by the Oct. 1 deadline for him to do so. That would make Bledsoe and unrestricted free agent next summer, when he would figure to draw significant interest on the open market as a potential franchise point guard. Despite knee surgery and a shin bruise limiting Bledsoe to just 43 games (40 starts) last season, the dynamic combo guard flourished in the Suns' two-playmaker backcourt, averaging 17.7 points, 5.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 32.9 minutes. In advance of this season, should Bledsoe remain in Phoenix, he can be expected to continue to start next to fellow guard Goran Dragic, with exciting offseason signing Isaiah Thomas anticipated to provide fantastic production as the team's sixth man and third guard option.(RotoWire, )

News: Minnesota is willing to offer Bledsoe a four-year, $63 million maximum level contract but will need to complete a sign-and-trade deal in order to facilitate a deal, ESPN reports. Impact: The Suns and Bledsoe haven't been able to come to terms on a new contract with Bledsoe likely to sign a one-year, $3.7 million qualifying offer so he can become a free agent next year. It's an odd move for Minnesota who already has Ricky Rubio at point guard and could signal the team isn't set on signing Rubio to the max deal he wants this summer. The complications of a sign-and-trade deal involving the two teams make this deal seem unlikely since the Suns seem unlikely to want Rubio back in a deal.(RotoWire, )
