News: Gordon (shoulder) will take a week or two to decide whether or not to undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Impact: Gordon suffered the injury Saturday against the Jazz, and he said he'll consult with the team's medical staff to decide the next course of action. "If I keep on playing, it's going to be a lingering issue," Gordon said. "This thing doesn't heal all the way correctly, I've heard, unless surgery happens. I don't know, it's (surgery option) still hard to determine right now." If the oft-injured Gordon opts for surgery, he'll likely miss three months or more, whereas choosing to forego surgery would place him out for just a few weeks, with the risk of the labrum not fully healing. Gordon said he'll take time to weigh his options while continuing to attempt to build strength in his shoulder. "I'm going to try and strengthened it back up as much as I can," Gordon said. "You almost got to train like you are trying to get back. That's what I'm going to do and go from there."(RotoWire, )

News: Gordon's torn labrum may not require surgery, although a decision has not yet been made, the Times-Picayune's John Reid reports. Impact: He is out indefinitely with the shoulder surgery, and even if he does not require surgery, he will probably miss significant time. Gordon has had a terrible season, so he has already been dropped in plenty of leagues, and this injury should result in him being on the waiver wire in most formats. John Salmons seems like the most likely player to receive a bump in playing time while Gordon is out.(RotoWire, )

News: Gordon is out indefinitely after tearing his labrum Saturday against the Jazz, the team announced. Impact: There's no word on the severity of the tear for Gordon, so his recovery time could vary widely. Gordon wasn't having the best season, averaging 9.5 points per game on .398 shooting, but the Pelicans' lack of depth at guard could make Gordon's absence troubling.(RotoWire, )

News: Gordon (shoulder) was spotted wearing a sling on his left shoulder Sunday, Fletcher Mackel of WDSU in New Orleans reports. Impact: Gordon left Saturday's game with a separated shoulder, and though the team hasn't said much about the injury, it's certainly not encouraging to see him in a sling. The Pelicans host Sacramento on Tuesday, and at this point it seems very unlikely Gordon is able to play. Expect official word from the team regarding the injury to surface Monday.(RotoWire, )

News: Gordon suffered a separated shoulder in Saturday's game against the Jazz and will not return, Pelicans radio announcer Sean Kelley reports. Impact: Gordon suffered the injury in the first half, finishing with eight points in 13 minutes. Shoulder separations can vary widely in terms of severity, so we'll await further word from the Pelicans on how much time Gordon might miss. New Orleans has the next two days off before returning to action Tuesday against the Kings.(RotoWire, )

News: Gordon played his best offensive game of the season Tuesday, scoring 17 points and adding four assists against the Kings. Impact: Gordon has had a rough go of things early this season, but looked strong while going 7-of-13 from the floor. The Pelicans' guard may finally be turning the corner, as he's scored in double figures in three straight games, shooting 65.2 percent from the field.(RotoWire, )
