News: Marcus Morris opened this season as the team's starting small forward and didn't disappoint when given the opportunity. He ended his night with 21 points (8-14 FG, 5-9 3Pt), one rebound, and one steal in Wednesday's victory over the Lakers. Impact: While Marcus didn't put up huge numbers across the board, his shooting beyond the arc is encouraging, as Coach Hornacek leans on three pointers heavily in his system. However, don't go rushing to the waiver wire just yet. Incumbent starter P.J. Tucker was held out of this game, as he serves a three game suspension. Additionally, Phoenix had the benefit of playing a Lakers team that may very well be one of the worst defensive units this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Marcus Morris will start the first three games of the season at small forward while P.J. Tucker (suspension) is out of the lineup, and there's a possibility that Marcus could keep the job even when Tucker returns, the Arizona Republic reports. Impact: Marcus' brother Markieff Morris is the starter at power forward. Markieff is expected to hold the starting power forward job all season, but Marcus will have to perform well in the first three games to stay in the starting lineup over Tucker. Marcus came off the bench for 81 of the 82 games he played in during the 2013-14 season, putting up averages of 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.2 blocks, and 1.2 three-pointers in 22 minutes per game. While Marcus may be a good play in daily leagues to start the season, once Tucker is back in the roation, both Tucker and Marcus will be playing tug-of-war for the small forward minutes each night, hurting both players' fantasy value.(RotoWire, )
