Lakers rally past Celtics to win title

The Lakers won their 16th NBA championship, dramatically rallying from a fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Celtics in Game 7. Kobe Bryant scored 23 points despite 6-of-24 shooting while winning his fifth title with the Lakers , who repeated as champs for the first time since winning three straight from 2000-02.

Game 7 Boom and Bust

Boom: Ron Artest

With Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol shooting bricks, Artest came up with 20 crucial points and also played strong defense on Paul Pierce. Then, appropriately, he thanked his psychiatrist.

Bust: Ray Allen

The Celtics probably would have won the game if Allen, one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, hadn’t missed 11 of 14 shots. Many were wide open, but he tired in 45 minutes of chasing Kobe.
