News: Wade plans to cut down on his three-point attempts this season, Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Impact: From an efficiency standpoint, it's probably for the best for Wade to reduce his three-point tries, as he converted from deep at just a 28.4 percent rate in 2014-15, and isn't much better for his career (28.9 percent). However, in fantasy leagues that count three-point makes rather than three-point percentage, Wade's value will be dinged a bit, even though he knocked down just 29 treys in 62 games. Assuming Wade is able to commit to the plan, he could still compensate for the lack of threes by attacking the rim more frequently and bumping up his overall shooting percentage, but that too could be fraught with some risk, as it would make him more susceptible to injury. As a happy medium, expect Wade to settle in as more of a mid-range specialist and pick his spots on when to drive, which should be enough to keep him lingering around the 20 point-per-game mark.
