News: Cousins plans to add a three-point shot to his offensive repertoire this season, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.
Impact: Cousins has attempted only 15 three-pointers over the last two seasons, but he's apparently worked to expand this range this offseason and will look to be more of a perimeter threat in 2015-16. Just how much he plans to increase his attempts remains to be seen, but Cousins will likely continue to do the vast majority of his damage within 10 feet. Last season, more than two-thirds of his field goal attempts came from between zero and 10 feet, while 23.7 percent of his attempts fell in the 16-to-22-foot range, per Basketball-Reference.

News: Cousins (ankle) scored 91 points in a charity basketball game on Saturday in Alabama, implying the right ankle injury that held him out of the final six regular season games has all but subsided.
Impact: Cousins played a career-low 59 games last season, and the Kings benched him the final two weeks with nothing to play for and a top-10 protected pick on the line. He'll join the U.S. Men's basketball minicamp this week along with 33 other hopefuls. If he fully participates in the workouts and scrimmage, it's safe to assume he's fully healed from his leg ailments.
