News: Varejao believes he his ahead of schedule in his recovery from a torn left Achilles and expects to be ready to play for the start of the 2015-16 season, Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Impact: While it's encouraging to see that Varejao hasn't endured any setbacks in his recovery from the December procedure and is now out of a walking boot, there's legitimate fears about his ability to reemerge as a vital contributor for the Cavs. The big man will turn 33 in September and has already been foiled by a litany of injuries throughout his career, but returning from an ailment of this nature may be his toughest test yet. For what it's worth, Varejao said he expects to be close to the same player after returning from injury, but fantasy players shouldn't be nearly as optimistic.
