News: Horford said Monday that improving as a three-point shooter was a point of emphasis this offseason, KL Chouinard of Hawks.com reports.
Impact: Horford attempted a career-high 36 three-pointers last season, up significantly from his previous high of 11 set in 2013-14. The 29-year-old isn't likely to become a true threat from distance, but considering he's a career 32.3 percent shooter, an increase in volume should provide a bit of a boost, from a fantasy perspective.

News: Horford scored 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt), grabbed five rebounds, and blocked one shot in 21 minutes of action Friday night against the Pelicans.
Impact: While preseason stats for established stars like Horford are typically trivial, Friday's line counters that premise. There hasn't been much chatter about Horford shooting threes this year, but he went 2-for-3 Friday night, and that qualifies as an eye opener. His value will have to be reconsidered if this trend continues throughout the preseason, as adding three-pointers to his repertoire would significantly increase his value.

News: Horford will skip the upcoming FIBA Americas qualifying tournament, Jaryd Wilson of NBA.com reports.
Impact: Horford took to Twitter to announce his plans circumvent his duties with the Dominican Republic National Team this summer. The Hawks' center was hindered during the playoffs by finger and knee injuries. Horford's priorities include recovering from a long season and improving his game heading into the final year of his contract.
