News: Bayne, driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion, ran inside the top three for much of the closing stages of the rain-delayed NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Daytona International Speedway, ultimately earning a hard-fought ninth-place finish, roushfenway.com reports.
Impact: It was a fantastic effort for Bayne and the struggling No. 6 team. In fact, it was the young driver's best super speedway finish since the 2012 season when he claimed an eighth-place finish in that year's spring Talladega event. Bayne qualified up front and raced there all night making it a resoundingly good performance. It was just his second Top 10 of the season, and Bayne climbs one spot to 27th-place in the overall driver standings as a result.
