Washout: Rain postpones Daytona Cup race to 11 a.m. ET Sunday
JUL 05, 2014 9:30p ET
NASCAR's mighty Air Titan track-drying machine fought, but this time the weather won.
Facing steady and persistent rain for much of the day Saturday at Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR called off the dogs just before 9 p.m. ET and rescheduled Saturday night's Coke Zero 400 for an 11 a.m. ET Sunday start.
However, the forecast doesn't look much better for Sunday, when there is at least a 50 percent chance of rain forecasted for most of the day.
Tickets for Saturday's race will be honored Sunday, and Coke Zero 400 tickets will also be on sale at the gate or the Daytona International Speedway ticket office.
Grandstand gates will open at 9 a.m. and parking lots will open at 7 a.m.
