VIDEO: Martin Truex Jr.'s car goes up in smoke at Vegas

It was an unhappy start to practice for Martin Truex Jr., who five minutes into practice saw his No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet lose an oil line, forcing him to pull into the garage amid a cloud of smoke.
The team spent 40 minutes in the garage repairing the oil line fitting and cleaning the lost oil, but did not have to change engines. Truex made it back on track in the No. 78 during the opening practice session and will not have to go to the rear of the field for Sunday's race.
Considering a motor failure after just 30 laps in the Daytona 500 left Truex 43rd and last, this was hardly the way he wanted to start his weekend in Las Vegas. Still, the fact that he won't have to go to the back of the field this time is a definite positive.
