Hendrick Motorsports held a fully suited dress rehearsal for its pit crews at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Thursday.
Apparently the organization rented the track for a closed session for all four NASCAR Sprint Cup teams. The four cars used for the exercises include two No. 5’s (of Mark Martin), the No. 48 with Jimmie Johnson behind the wheel and the No. 88 Chevrolet with Dale Earnhardt Jr. behind the wheel. The No. 24 team of Jeff Gordon was pitting the second No. 5 car.
The drivers were running different sequences and pitting in every other pit with the pit stops being filmed from the flagstand, according to a source who attended the test. The session lasted less than three hours.
