Grandson of team co-owner Sabates killed in accidental shooting

Chip Ganassi Racing is mourning the loss of a grandson of team co-owner Felix Sabates.

According to multiple news reports, 18-year-old Feliciano Sabates died Saturday night after being accidentally shot by a 17-year-old when he waved a 9mm gun that a group of juveniles and adults had been passing around the group during a party.

Sabates, known to many as "Chany," died at the scene in the Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., apartment, according to The Palm Beach (Fla.) Post.

The 17-year-old was charged with manslaughter by culpable negligence.
