Remembering all we've lost, not just Earnhardt
Dale Earnhardt's posthumous induction into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame was sad, but it was a very historic moment for his family, his team (the Flying Aces) and owner Richard Childress. Once again, it reminded us of what we've lost. A lot of fans feel like Earnhardt is the only person who passed away that we ever talk about. That's not the case, but we're reminded about Earnhardt more often than anyone else because of his success on the racetrack and by some of the things that he did off of the track. It's hard to find a racetrack where he doesn't have a record or where we don't have a spectacular memory of him. That's the reason why it seems like he's the only person we ever remember.
