Driving for Ray Evernham, road-course ringer Boris Said won the pole and led the first 26 laps before giving way to the Denny Hamlin, who qualified 2nd and was one of nine Nextel Cup drivers to head south of the border during their first off-weekend of the season.
Hamlin led half the race 40 of 80 laps to win his first career Busch race in the second annual event in Mexico City before nearly 75,000 fans, holding off Said, Kevin Harvick, his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate J.J. Yeley and Paul Menard at the finish line. Full story ...

Caution 8 / Laps 73-74: Burney Lamar runs off track and into a sand trap.
Caution 7 / Laps 63-65: Reed Sorenson blows his second engine of the weekend putting down fluid on the track. Kevin Harvick restarted 32nd after being told he had passed Todd Kluever too early on the sixth restart, but Richard Childress appealed the penalty. Harvick was given a legal pass and put back to 3rd place. Kenny Wallace gets the free pass onto the lead lap.
Caution 6 / Laps 54-56: Kyle Busch on the very bottom of the track gets into Michel Jourdain and spins out both cars in Turn 8. Busch says, "I bet I'm hated in Mexico." To add insult to injury, Busch is too fast entering pit road as he comes in for tires. He has to start at the back of the pack. Rogelio Lopez gets the free pass back onto the lead lap.
Caution 5 / Laps 50-52: Rookie Joel Kauffman spins out on track. Jay Sauter gets back onto the lead lap with the free pass.
Caution 4 / Laps 36-38: Michael Waltrip hits the curb and runs right-side first into a tire wall, tearing off the right side and launching him headfirst into the wall. Ron Fellows gets the free pass back onto the lead lap.
Caution 3 / Laps 26-27: Debris in Turn 2 after Burney Lamar and Michael Waltrip spin off course. Leader Boris Said makes his first pit stop and loses the lead for the first time. Jamie McMurray makes a stop as well. Carlos Pardo gets the free pass back onto the lead lap.
Caution 2 / Laps 20-21: Danny O'Quinn Jr. spins off course. Adrian Fernandez get the free pass back onto the lead lap. Nineteen cars pit under caution.
Caution 1 / Laps 6-7: Stacy Compton blows an engine. Leader Boris Said stays out while 17 drivers make pit stops, including Denny Hamlin who was 2nd but suffering from an overheating engine that's pushing. No driver is a lap down to get the free pass.
