JR Motorsports renews with group
The American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity has renewed its partnership with NASCAR Nationwide Series team JR Motorsports.
NASCAR on FOX brings live coverage of the Sprint Cup race at Dover International Speedway on Sunday. The green flag drops at 1 p.m. ET, with coverage on FOX beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET.
After a successful rookie season with the organization co-owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr., ACCCE will be an associate sponsor on all three of the JRM entries in 2013. ACCCE will serve as the primary sponsor for Regan Smith in the Nationwide Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 23, as well as on the Chevrolets of Kasey Kahne (No. 5) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (No. 88).
Smith won his first Nationwide Series race in his debut with JRM in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
“Last year we met NASCAR fans by the thousands, and they learned about our issues and ultimately became some of the strongest advocates for clean coal technology,” said Evan Tracey, senior vice president for communications of ACCCE. “We are excited to again spread the word about clean coal with the sport’s most popular driver and to match his fan base with ours, who universally stand in support of domestic energy sources, such as coal.”
Sports Marketing Consultants, a full-service sports marketing consultancy with emphasis in US motorsports, worked closely with JRM and ACCCE to expedite the sponsorship.
