Want To Buy Jeff Gordon's NYC Condo? Dish Out $30 Million
Jeff Gordon will make his 700th consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup start Saturday at Darlington Raceway, where he has won more races than any other active driver and is the only man to win three consecutive Southern 500s.
Gordon has also made headlines for his philanthropic work, which includes annual trips to Africa, where he has built hospitals to treat AIDS patients, and his many years of work with pediatric cancer patients.
Friday, Gordon was in the New York Times for another reason: He's selling his New York City condo.
But it's not just any condo, to be sure.
The Times describes it thusly: "An inventively embellished three-bedroom condominium at the reigning superstar of Manhattan trophy residences, 15 Central Park West, is about to enter a trophy-conscious marketplace priced at $30 million."
Gordon is described in the article as "the telegenic four-time Nascar Cup Series champion whose precocity and precision at treacherous speeds early in his career earned him the sobriquet of "Wonder Boy" from the guru of the stock-car genre, Dale Earnhardt."
Guess you have to use fancy words when you're talking about a $30 million condo, but without question, it's a dandy piece of real estate.
