4:00 p.m. — It’s race day in Atlanta! We’ll help get you ready for tonight’s 500-mile race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

With a rare Sunday night race thanks to Labor Day Weekend, NASCAR seems to have caught a break as a brief rain shower hit the track this afternoon.

Unofficial NASCAR weatherman Brian Neudorff is fairly confident the weather should be clear by race time, though.

As a result of the weather, NASCAR has bumped up the start of tonight’s race to 7:32 p.m. ET.

A little rain can’t dampen the hopes of Front Row Motorsports’ David Gilliland, who is more than ready to get tonight’s race started.

Meanwhile, the NASCAR RaceDay crew is hard at work getting ready for tonight’s show at 5:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.

4:05 p.m. — With the Sprint Cup Series event later this evening, the attention was on the Camping World Truck Series race at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.

The last lap saw the leader dumped for the win, third and fourth wreck coming to the checkered flag, and a host of post-race action that looked more like a UFC event than a NASCAR race.

5:50 p.m. — Now that the excitement from the Truck Series race has died down, the Sprint Cup Series garage is gearing up for tonight’s race in Atlanta.

NASCAR RaceDay is underway and drivers are headed to the driver meeting.

6:00 p.m. — A celebrity already, Keelan Harvick spends some quality time with "Aunt Danica" and "Uncle Ricky."
