Michael Waltrip Racing is up for sale, and the price is fairly hefty

Interested in buying the old Michael Waltrip Racing property and facilities? You'd better dig into the wallet and do it quickly.

Michael Waltrip Racing was closed for business, effective the day after the final race of the 2015 NASCAR season in late November at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Now, the race shop and property belonging to the organization founded by its namesake in 2007 are up for sale.

According to the real estate company handling the sale of MWR, the price tag on the 11.479-acre Cornelius, North Carolina property and its two buildings is $15 million.

The real estate company also states on its website that it is now reviewing offers from potential buyers, and that the buildings are expected to be completely vacant by April 1.
