Matt Kenseth Captures Another Daytona Win
Matt Kenseth won Friday night's NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway.
Kenseth, 2009 and 2012 Daytona 500 champion, paired up with James Buescher on a final green-white-checkered restart and the duo was able to break away from the pack.
The two cruised to the checkered flag, finishing one-two as the battle for third broke out behind them. Elliott Sadler managed to grab that spot, which would earn him an additional $100,000 bonus for being the highest finishing driver in the "Dash 4 Cash" program.
Smith maintains his points leader, but the gap over Hornish Jr. is just six as the series heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway next weekend.
The races only wreck came on lap 97 when Travis Pastrana and Cole Whitt made contact while racing deep in the pack. Pastrana bounced off the apron and shot up the track, collecting Jason White, Jamie Dick, Robert Richardson Jr. and Jeffrey Earnhardt. All drivers would be OK.
